Aye Peter. The Trustee Savings Bank was just one door up from the corner and moved to the precinct in I think 1962. Alan Woodrow was Manager at that time and, as the only bloke, had the life nagged out of him by a bunch of girls who made up the staff.
I married one of those girls. I feel for him!!
There are few in Hebburn, particularly those from Reyrolle, who didnt have an account at the Trustee Savings Bank.
