I enjoyed my trucking days from ERF,Commers, Volvos, Scanias, AEC,Seddon, the list goes on, some one worked out my mileage I had covered over the years think it was over 4.3 million miles, and a few breakdowns on the way, lucky my experience could normally Gerry rig it home. One memory was a mates Volvo F88 head gasket was fixed with 6 eggs stopping the leak, I may right a book one day, call it, tale of a long distance driver, bit strange from that life to ending up in academia teaching logistics and security, then electronics,enjoyed every minute except the scary bits, no brakes on Mount Blanc or Jack knifing in snowy Austria or the bandits in the Balkans, hoe you enjoyed my little chat, and the ERF lad get his windscreen.
