My Granddaughter is schooling online and enjoys it. In some ways better than being at school. More done in less time. The great downside being interaction with her schoolmates and no sporting activities. The school is very sports orientated.

All the pupils at our granddaughter school have their laptops etc. With them and are used during class as required.

Her father and siblings went to the same school when their parents were were in Saudi etc.

Reports in the newspapers that some head teachers consider schooling over the internet are invasion of privacy because the parents can watch what the teachers are saying/ doing.

This appears to be a lot of State schools.

They are not happy using Zoom.

Since March our family history meetings have been on Zoom once or twice a month and between 15 & 25 attending. I have found it great as at live meetings I cannot hear a thing but Zoom everything.

I accept that a lot of parents cannot afford the computers etc.for their children and as a result the children will miss out especially if there is more than one child.

A lot of people will have been caught out by not being able to buy equipment as sold out and others not have considered it a requirement.
