With you being ex RAF I thought I'd tell you this incase you have contacts there.
My son sent me a aerial pic on FB of our Lakes taken in 1956 by the RAF.
I straightened it up a bit and here it is.
Along the bottom it has 540/RAF/1792 13 MAR 56. Crown Copyright. It would be nice to get more aerial views like this one.
