They are trying to take on more staff, 2 already and hopefully another this week. Regretfully they had to lose staff when all the virus started. They remodeled their business's to cope with lower staffing levels.
Various other matters discussed. The main one being as to how our 12yr old granddaughter is coping with lockdown, Is She getting bored ?
NO she does her online school work then she may go for a run with her Dad or use the Gym that they have or now use the exercise bike bought for her 13th birthday in a few days.
We were very surprised to here that they are getting sports over the Zoom meetings and yesterday it was something like kickboxing. The poor teacher looked Knackered we understand. I suppose it was a way of getting the kids going. Wonder how much furniture got the knock.
Of course we worry if the families business can get hit as we live with them.
They came very near, due to big problems with the 2008/9 crash as RBS and others were pulling the plug on loans etc. However they have ever since made sure they are never in that position again but the virus has required a lot of management adjustments.
House building goes on apace in Harrogate, one site we wonder how people would buy such odd looking houses. I suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder and what do we know at our age
Yesterday was a good day for us a nice walk of 2.5 miles but had to turn back as a section of the road sheet ice. I got in a 11.5 mile bike ride, first since boxing day, by was it cold on the tops, I should have gone out an hour earlier.
Take care tomorrow if you get Snow. We will on higher ground around us, but Tyneside may miss it.
