Well Barry, I do tend to uncover a lot of hidden history and go to extreme depths like how sandstone and slate is formed. So the subject of churches often covers subjects such as geology, chemical formulations such as shellac, timber technology, Kelly's directories, stained glass, etc etc. There's no end to it really. I must have taken thousands of photos of church architecture all over the UK but it always gives me a great day out and I love to meet the people involved with each church. There's a wealth of history out there just waiting to be uncovered.
