Geordie, Charlie and Tucker are travelling to London by train. At the station, three Americans each buy tickets and watch as Geordie and his pals only buy a single ticket.
“How are three people going to travel on only one ticket?” asked one of the Americans.
“Watch and learn.” Says Geordie.
They all board the train. The Americans take their respective seats but Geordie and his mates cram into the toilet and close the door behind them. Shortly after leaving the Central Station, the inspector comes around checking the tickets.
He knocks on the toilet door and says, “Ticket please.” The door opens just a crack and a single arm emerges with a ticket in hand. The inspector examines it and moves on. The Yanks agreed that it was a clever idea. So, on the return trip, they decide to just buy one ticket and save some money. When they get to the station, they buy a single ticket for the return journey. To their astonishment, the three lads from Newcastle don’t buy a ticket at all.
“How are you going to travel without a ticket?” asks a perplexed American.
“Watch and Learn.” Says Geordie. When they board the train the three Americans cram into a toilet and Geordie and his pals cram into a toilet nearby. The train leaves the station and shortly after, Geordie leaves his toilet and walks over to the toilet where the Americans are hiding. He knocks on the door and says, “Ticket please!”
