My friend Tom DeVere took his visiting brother on a nostalgic tour of Felling. Feeling peckish, they visited the pubs in the area only to be very disappointed with the state of the food fare. Tom, feeling embarrassed, suggested a better class watering hole would be The Swan at Heworth. By now their peckishness had turned to outright hunger. Upon asking for the food menu, Tom was offered a packet of crisps and/or pork sctratchings.
