Thank you Barry for those kind words. I know what I do isn't exciting to many but many times it helps other areas of local history. When I researched St Aloysius RC in Hebburn I was told that Charles Walker's drawing of his original design was lost. No one had ever seen it yet I discovered it hanging on a wall in the vestry! It had a bell tower that was never added to keep the cost down! It finally cost £5,000 by Jarrow builder Thomas Lumsden but that's another day!
