Re: Further to backing up PC below
I recently put a new battery in my Lenovo laptop and as I had the thing apart decided to replace the HDD with a 250GB SSD. first I had to find out how to do it with Google. First I was to download an app that allowed me to get Win10 onto a usb stick, then load win10 onto my new SSD in the lap top all of which I did..great , now I could plug the old HDD into the laptop using the USB port and save any files as I wanted..but no way I could I do it so I put the old HDD back in the laptop and saved what I wanted to a usb stick then replaced the SSD and saved files from the usb back to the SSD...Whilst I am on the board may I mention some apps that are rely worth having? LIBRAOFFICE is a great app and better that Microsoft office and it's free. Then there's VLC for playing movies of all codecs and DVD Shrink. for defeating anti coppy protection on dvd's and allowing you to shrink the movie file size. there are a few others.
