We could not afford to holiday without the caravan to the extent we do (but that may be a thing of the past).

Modern Caravans depending on price are quite luxurious and have all mod cons.

We do on occasions hire a Cottage in Northumberland.

We both have camped then caravanned nearly all our lives.

To go into a Hotel for more than a few nights is not on.

If you wished to start Caravanning from scratch, like we do but buying everything New, Caravan £15,000 to £20,000. Car £35,000 but I would expect that in total would end up nearer to £65,000. That is what I think we would have to spend to replace everything but we would be just upgrading as we have done over the years.

That seems a lot of money but the car cost can be ignored as you already have one but may have to get a bigger one.

So don’t go Caravanning please we don’t want you filling up the Campsites
