I would of missed them but for three of them landing about half a mile towards Harrogate. I was on my road bike going to Penny Pot from the A59.
Maybe those three got lost due to the wind turbines further east.
I am assuming that they were Canada Geese or a very similar looking Goose. I should have took more notice as those three were quite close. The main group are two fields away from the road.
I think that these Geese are heading North but I could be wrong as the three are the only ones that I have ever seen in the air and they were heading North but I saw them in the air only for a minute or so before they started circling to land.
If I can get out on the bike at the weekend I will take my small Binoculars.
They have been using that landing ground for years, I first saw
them back in 2006/7. After we had moved out of H/gate.
So their arrival must signal the start of spring soon hopefully.
I also manage to cut my time for my “ normal ride” by 5 mins. Another 5 to cut off but would love to cut it to 1 hour dead. Dream On.
