Here is my 2nd daily header photo with the long gone Station Hotel known locally as Roys. Across the road on Hedgeley St corner is Craigs wallpaper/decorator's shop that gave the name Craigs Corner to that area.On the other corner is part of the Newtown School that St Aloysius used for their woodwork lessons from Mr McAvoy. Joan & I still use the Tray that I made in that building in 1958 so its over half way to being an antique.
Just down towards the Station is the Library and out of sight would be Smiths papershop that was discussed yesterday.
