An R & R day today I think but I could be tempted to have a ride on the MTB. But that could be a bit daft but still.
It would be OK if no ice under the snow which is 1” at the moment.
There must be a lot of you younger than I am (78).
Those of you who have not long retired you must keep up your activities as if you were still working. Walking is the best and easiest way of keeping mobile but you do need to work on other parts of your body.
I worked in an office from 1958 to 2003, retired and started renovating property’s. However I always did a bit of medium distance running plus cycling. My main sport was Scuba Diving and I tried to be at fit as I could to be able to lift the heavy cylinders, haul on ropes mainly the anchor rope.
The main aim was to be fit as it reduces Air consumption when U/W giving more bottom time.
Hope you will try and do a bit more exercise every day and bit by bit you will improve. Walk that extra mile etc.
Try to get rid of that extra weight on your belly which is what all men have. You will be able to tie your shoelaces easier etc.
The first few pounds are very hard to get off but it does get easier. Do try.
