Carol, I quickly went through the Vera episode for the date you gave which was focused on Whitley Bay and the Grand Hotel at Tynemouth. I didn't notice any large rocks but of course I may have missed them or looked at the wrong episode. The previous Vera was set in Alnmouth and again I don't recall any large rocks in the sea. I have looked at the map of the coast line and do not see any "Large Rocks" until you get to the Farne Islands. Sorry to be of no help at all really.
