I recently completed my COVID-19 vaccination with the Moderna vaccine and thought I'd post my experience here with regard to side effects etc. for people's reference.

Some people who were vaccinated had the same experiences as me, others lesser effects or nothing at all. It just seems to depend on the individual person.

First shot, I had no ill effects at all other than some pain around the injection site the following day.

Second shot (4 weeks later) the day of the shot I was fine again, but woke up feeling a bit rough the next day, and again sore at the injection site. As day 2 wore on, I began to exhibit flu-like symptoms - muscle aches, headache, chills and a 102F / 38.9C temperature.

By day 3, my temperature was on its way down and the chills and aches were subsiding, and by around 4:00 in the afternoon on day 3 I felt pretty much OK. When I woke up day 4 I felt completely normal.

So of you have the Moderna vaccine and experience these effects, don't worry - it's a fairly common response.
