Sorry Norman can't see the photo. Jock Byers did in fact teach gymnastics at Clegwell but later went on to Hebburn technical college. He tried for the Olympics in the 1950's but failed
according to my late aunt. His brother Gordon was also a gymnast but had a fruit and veg shop before working in the Bitumastic. He played an instrument called a Banjomandolin. He often drank in Roys and played dart with us.
