I know a lot of bourbon barrels come in from the states Davy, a lot of the whisky distilleries use port and sherry barrels on some of their malts.I think a fair few are coming in, also a lot of the gin companies that set up in the past few years also have been producing whisky but it has to be sat in barrels for a minimum of 3 years before it can legally be called whisky, evidently a lot of the full barrels are sold as investments, so if you have a few quid down the back of the sofa it can give you a good return on your money.
