Re: TV Licence annoyance
Now that’s a word I have never heard for many years Billy,. Stuckup, but I know what you mean and I agree. I wait with bated breath for our new council tax. How did they get people to pay for their incredibly large salaries and pensions. We can complain, but just go on paying. When we came to live here in 1978 the council offices were all over the town.. when the cattle market closed, the council built a magnificent council building really beautifully put all the different offices under one roof. Then they decided to amalgamate with another council, so most of the building is rented out and our council now rents somewhere on a science estate, out of town. As a certain journalist would say “ you couldn’t make it up”.
