No doubt this is due to ice forming in the bottle and an older car would be more prone to it cracking.
I always use a suitable winter screen wash suitable for -5 degrees but I do add a bit of Meths as and when.
I must check where my cars bottle is located and how it could be changed if required.
I understand that on some cars that it requires the engine to be removed to get access to do this and the cost is Extremely high £4,500 EH ?
Why would a car manufacturer be so stupid to place the bottle in a place that requires the engine out to do the work.
The cost of £4,500 ? seems ridiculously high but I know that a clutch change did cost £2,500 8 years ago because I paid that, but that had expensive parts. Something wrong!
Engine out and back in 16 hours max ? At £150 per hour top end dealer = £2,400. Miss info. ?
