All previous versions of Windows are no longer supported so we all have to use Windows 10 now.
I dont think you'll get any programs on your new PC. Microsoft charge for Office so ,you will have to use some of the free Office software. Many new machines have a 60 days trail of an Anti-virus program ,then you have to buy it . Many free anti-virus .ie . Avira ,Avast & AVG. Your browsers may include Chrome and allways Edge. I advise you to download Mozilla Firefox. Two other programs well worth installing are Ccleaner and Malwarebytes.....both free. Windows 10 can be awkward to get into the workings ,but there is a nice little freeby called ClassicShell. This turns the [GUI] ,meaning the way it looks back to Windows 7. So, you have a start button with the tradition program layout and easy access to PC and your files. Please note ,your new PC can be daunting at first ......your not alone, practice makes perfect ,so spend some time with it.
