Re: £50m Redevelopment.
Sometimes when my husband and I visit Newcastle it seems quite vibrant and other times it looks very depressed, the cafes/bars/restaurants that are in Grey Street seem to come and go all of the time you never seem to find the same restaurant on a second visit.
Grey Street used to be such an upmarket place, the buildings have never changed, but it is what business occupies the various buildings that is the issue, just wish that some thought and management of user could be used and try and maintain some degree of respectability.
The other thing that I find totally depressing is the state of the Tyne Bridge, such an iconic structure, a pity it is in total disrepair, shame on Newcastle, also Gateshead council, for allowing the bridge to disintegrate so much.
