There was a joke shop at the far end of Ormonde St way beyond where Woolworth used to be which sold all manner of stuff. Stink bombs and itching powder were an essential for any trip to the cinema and could be deployed from the circle.
I did read somewhere that Whoopie cusions became even more surprising when filled with gravy!!
