Re: store closure
I believe that you are spot on Brian.They didnt move with the times. They were struggling well before lockdown and had opened stores which although they carried a vast range of items were not viable.
Although they had an online presence it was not well integrated with their "physical" stores. Combining the two is an essential for retail these days. Customers buying on line and using a strategically store based "click and collect" brings footfall and extra sales!
JL will be missed because their goods were usually quality and I hope that the new head honcho, a lady I think, is given the time to get it right.
