we lived in Bluehouse road from 1949 , my bedroom window overlooked the reservoir it was covered with a concrete top I remember when it was being demolished it mde lots of dust.That was my family home until 1997.we got told many tales about the the war years and it being an air raid shelter from earlier residents who used it..I recall the one from Mrs Symonds from Victoria road west who carried her pan of broth in with her as the siren warning was going.
