Pace Egg Day

Helloooo everyone. What are your memories of Pace Egg Day. When it is traditional to roll ( boole) decorated hard boiled eggs down a hill, preferable soft and grassy , the winner being the owner of the egg which goes furthest and has the least cracks or breaks in it.
I have childhood memories of doing just that on the hill at the top of Campbell Street ( The Street where I was born ) round about the mid thirties' Happy memories' A wonderful alternative to the commercially produced chocolate egg, don't you think ??
