Where is Home

Hebburn will always be home. I left Hebburn April 1967. I served my time in Palmers as a plumber, emigrated to Canada on a boat that left from Liverpool and arrived in Quebec City. I worked in the maritime provinces for about 2 months then rode a train Saulte Ste Marie, Ontario.
I moved to the States in 1969 - Seattle, Washington along with my good friend Don Macintyre - a Hebburn lad. I lived in many States and finally settled in Steamboat Springs, Colorado in 1974 and lived here ever since.
I love the Hebburn website and have become very good friends with Norman and keep in touch with my sister, Pat Holdcroft (nee Roberts) and two Aloysius schoolmates - Davy Hebson and Mick Bambrough. Still a member of the Iona! I hope to get back to Hebburn for a pint or two when all the restrictions are lifted.
