hi Norman,after seeing the photo of the demise of Jarrow after the bulldozers had done there job in the 60s like MAC Cummings who lived away at that time I am in the same boat as l had emigrated in 1961 I to missed my beloved QUAY being raised to the ground during that era many years later on returning to visit I was shocked in the TOTAL destruction of most buildings ok some were in a terrible state but at the same time many lovely buildings part of our heritage ,a lot of them mentioned many times on this board in the past just disappered it was wanton distraction so sad.so irreverseable,Seeing Normans header photo of the old Quay in yesterday's year lt would be interesting to see the Quay after being bulldozed in the 60s-70s then showing what we have to day in2021 interesting may be not,another THEN and NOW
