Allan they have done the same with radio rarely playing anything before the mid 1970s or later specifically on local radio, and they have a specific playlist from which they must not deviate, that's why Paddy MacDee and a number of very knowledgeable presenters all left around the same time last year across local radio stations around the country. With tv its harder, but they love putting people in little boxes so they can tick it off, and that is exactly what this comes across as.
