The main entrance of the gem was on Albert street,the second entrance which was in William street opposite the pub which I believe is still there now..
Jackie lots of Hebburn babies at that time were born in Danesfield the reason being, no bathrooms in the older properties,I was born in 88 William street in the 1930s myself .numbe 67, would have been on the same block as the off licence which was on the corner of Ellison/William street opposite the drill hall,hope this gives you your bearings Jackie.
