Re: Saturday Header history lesson
Great photo Norman,l think it captured my first 21 years of my life being brought up in Hebburn especially the Quay.In my early youth selling papers for Whinnie Gallagher l didn't walk around or wander around l ran around so l was very familiar with the lay out of the Quay and names of locals.Tyne st where l was born ,then attending Quay Board School. Each street holds fond memories of people, advents.of being born there in the post war years. The Quay had most things above all folk that were caring.freindly, etc each street had those in abundance.later on l moved on realised what a great start l got from those old but warm terraced streets of Hebburn Quay, each street tells a story, those stories are to numerous to tell but l a sure you they would be friendly, funny but honest. Great photo Norman Dunn thanks cheers.tb
