I prefer to paint when inspired by what I see in front of me. Often I create from imagination , the composition only exists in my head , sea and sky scapes are my favourites. At times water colour painting can be very unforgiving, painting in acrylic give me more freedom of expression.
The cards I have passed on to Norman and Margaret have the name of the printer used. They have always been very helpful and reasonably priced , taking into account that the print run is small. Cards and copies in the original size - usually A3 and A4. I send cards and , or paintings to family and friends at Christmas and on their birthday.
Befor this lockdown situation I had started to look through my collection of paintings , picked out those I felt would be worth reproducing in some form or other , ie, cards and full sized prints mounted and framed , or just mounted - framing and mounting can add a considerable cost, not always appreciated by the buyer.
When there is more freedom of movement I intend to get out and about to find an outlet to show my cards and paintings.
At present my chiropodist has kindly alowed me to show three or four of my paintings in her premises - no customers - yet - nothing ventured nothing gained.
I am looking at the ' art' ' display outlets here in Bristol - all to ' arty ' for me.
Hope you find this interesting?
