Re: covid vaccination appts
Liz, my sister who was 18 years older than me was sent to London to work in WW2. She met her husband and settled in Pimlico. She and her husband used to come North and take me for holidays. I loved London. My two girls had visits twice a year. I knew the area of Pimlico so well. Sadly she died in 1985, I kept in touch with two friendís , who eventually moved out to be near family. One in Essex and one in Kent. The were Londoners and lived with Londoners, when Westminster Council were told they must give the flats to immigrants who were most in need, I have to say what they told me, I would not recognise the place. Years later I read sadly a young man had been shot dead, and the description of the place was a sink estate. In the 1960ís, everyone has geraniums in pots outside they doors,it was lovely. What a sad end . I just have happy memories of a lovely area.
