Not many (any?) of us now keep Jerrycans of petrol to fill up our cars and for the most part you will go to a charging station with your EV just like you go to the garage for petrol.
The petrol companies have a plan to replace pumps with rapid chargers. After all their sales of petrol will plummet.
Those Rapid chargers take about 20 min, so a much slower process at the point of sale.
There will be those of us able to have charging stations at home and new planning apps usual demand the facility. The charging time for many at home is overnight.
There will also be charging stations in Sueprmarkets etc so the mantra will be "charge your car when you an while you are shopping" it doesnt neeed to be low on juice.
But you will have to live with the change.
I guess that from the end of the 19th Century into the early part of the 20th Century Cart Drivers were bemoaning the lack of livery stables and hay as they became replaced with Petrol.......I can just hear "I'm never going to have one of those new fangled Horseless Carriage contraptions they are too expensive"....and then new production methods and Henry Ford came along!!
But there is a lot of infrastructure progress to be made yet
