After a month it had to have a SD card..
Worked ok for our trip to France in Sept. 2019 but after that not used due to lockdowns.
I kept it charge up during lockdown and picked up the Satellites before putting it away.
When we went up to Wooler area a few months ago it gave up the ghost just before Washington Services. Error message.
Tried it again when going to Pickering simm. Problem but now defunct cannot get into the main menu.
Contacted Snooper and they want £70 for a new SD card or £98 for repair of the unit by them.
They say that it our fault that the unit has gone down as we should have updated it every 6 months.
Never ever done that with old Falcon unit. That was update every year approx. when Falcon advised me that an update was available.
I did try to update my Snooper after Wooler trip but their updating instructions leaves a lot to be desired (crap).
As I had taken my old Falcon pSat Nav with me to Pickering was not at a loss. I didnít need them anyway just used them. Because I had them sort of give them a run out.
We have e mailed Snooper again but no reply after 4 days.
The question is should I pay the £98 to have the unit repaired or ?
My feeling is to buy a new from another maker and it could well be Garmin.
My logic is that I could well spend £98 having the Snooper repaired and then end up having to buy on from Garmin anyway.
