Clegwell Farm was an old stone built farm close to the Cleg well where local people had walked to draw their fresh water over the centuries. Then as is normal in our area the old farm was demolished. On the surrounding land was built Clegwell School in the 1930s.Our Council have never liked old buildings so there is very little left apart from Hebburn Hall , Hedley Schools and a few 1800s churches.
