Re: World Heritage site dropped
The UK government contributes around £130,000 to the Committee's World Heritage Fund every year. So hope that will stop.
The approximated amount that the world Heritage Fund gives Unesco is $ 4 million each year to assist with the activities. Thus the world heritage fund is the biggest source of funding for Unesco. This includes compulsory contributions and donation by member states.
Another money spinner for the faceless. Not one heritage site has ever been saved by Unesco in all the years it has been run.
