Hi John,,l would guess that the fact she was leavlng Hebburn heading for London makes me think she would have flown from the uk to Australia,it was about that time in the mid 60s that the Australian government realised it was much cheaper to fly immigrants down under than in my case sailing half way around the world on the ss Canberra,in September 1961 sailing from Southampton enjoying a six week trip,where as flying to Aussie in those days took any thing up to 36 hours,so the fact that Pat was heading for London not Southampton may be answers your Question John.
