Interesting what you say about Specsavers and also about what you think is the effect of misting or dirty specs.
First of all it was my branch of Specsavers which spotted my Cateract problem. They referred me to the NHS. It took months. Then the consultant I saw said "no problem"! I knew my sight still wasnt right but I thought it was maybe my script had changed. No it was clearly my Cateracts and they went ballistic when they heard that the NHS had signed me off. They said that I should have at the very least been put on 6 monthly checks! They referred me again.......and it was taking ages just to get an appointment with a waiting time of 2 years plus for surgery. Covid hasnt helped which I understand.
As to the misting or dirty lenses. I thought that was the problem.
When I went private it was clearly explained that it was the Cateracts. And it was . Two ops. 20:20 vision. From the time I went private to job done 6 weeks.
So I recommend that you get on the case. Specsavers is a franchise so local branches are only as good as their owners and operatives. Try someone else.
Consider going private. A call to a Spires Health Hospital would be a good investment.
What a pleasure it is for me to have great sight at long last.
