He also visited Newcastle many times and don't quote me but I think he had connection s with Brunswick Methodist church, Keelman's hospital, Orphan House, St. Andrew's church and Wesley Square. The blue plaque says he laid the foundation stone for the Orphan House which was demolished in 1856. I'm not sure if Fenwick's layer went on to be built there or next to it. There is said to be exhibits on display at Brunswick Methodist church.
I know this because my Dad was doing some research about it and my Aunty couldn't find the plaque to send him a photo. I believe he also travelled. The family my Dad married into over there were Methodists.
