BurnHeads Methodist Church - The Saturday Dance
I too used to go to the Dance at the church on a Saturday. In fact, I played the records on many occasions - does this make me a disc-jockey???
The Dance was run by Norman Gibb who lived around the corner from us in East View; his sister Chrissie Franklin lived next door to us. Johnny Simpson and Bernard Hannah were there on occasions and prevented any trouble developing!
Norman had a silver Austin Healey 3000 which he eventually traded in and bought a D plate, red E Type Jag. I had many a ride in both.
What a memory!
