Re: Wednesday's Header plus Stan Forster's classic
hi Norman l would think over the years you must have given us many many photos as your to-days header photo this one showing EIison st part of the HUB of the Quay in the 40s notice no cars looking at it l would think the board members that lived in the Quay at that time would reflect for a moment and remastrate about how they walked down it either to go to church at St Andrews or to catch the ferry .as kids we would sledge down it but above all the ship yard workers going to Leslie's ship yard it truly was a huge ICONIC episode of life in the old Quay and the photo for me says it all. a few years ago I asked Norman if he would put the same photo as. a Christmas header he kindly obliged fingers crossed he might do this year 20/21
