That is asking for trouble unless they have at least 6mm + of tread. The only ones that I have heard of were almost new taken off a car as the new owner wanted some brand spankers or higher performance.
Mind the new that were being put on were over £350 each on a top of the range BMW or A Merc.
That reminds me, when I was having my car MOT’d last March a chap was having his Porche 911 tyres changed as down to 5 mm the cost of the new was WOW something like £450 + for a rear tyre. The total cost to him that day was nearly £2,000. The mind boggles. ,
I remember that you could by worn tyres some years ago and even earlier buy RQ,s in the 60’s..l
The only part worn that I would use are those that I had changed for winter or summer as the case may be.
