Face to face with your GP

Watching BBC Breakfast tv this morning and the Health Secretary was saying that they will name and shame surgeries where doctors are not seeing enough patients face to face which I think is a good think. Next a female GP that writes in one of the newspapers was interviewed said that health service will loose more doctors. Then her next line was if patients that have had a blocked nose for a week should see a pharmacist and not phone to see a doctor, she also said that a lot of patients ailments can be dealt with a pharmacist which I know can be. If that is what she wants, to me it's only passing the problem from place to another. If pharmacists are increasing their work load by seeing more patients, they can't be doing their normal job ie prescriptions, then the customers going to collect there items will be complaining. So like I said passing the complaints from one to the other
