The results may well give a false impression. To take 65% of the area very good but that is meaningless unless you have the troops to hold it.
I suspect that the marines withdrew to consolidate their position in the face of our lot being so good.
Remember that our lot started the special forces during WW2 the SAS. I bet that there was quite a few SAS or trained up, to SAS standard among our lot, I would guarantee that.
It appears that there was limited use of AirPower which is a game changer. I bet that, that was very deliberate to give a taste of lack of AirPower.
Very valuable lessons will have been learned on all sides.
Everyone would be a winner and I bet now the war game analystís are going all over it.
One thing, the rules of engagement and what the objectives were for each side ?
The other is that our lot would have been all fired up to sock it to the Marines.
