l know quite a few faces but only one name and is Brian Shepherd his older brother Colin was a big mate of mine growing up in the Quay in the the 1940s-50s,l saw Colin recently while up in Hebburn and said Brian is fine. while I was up in hebburn and seeing the poppy wreath on Mikes plague it made me remember of the poppies which are on display that are tied to the front gate and railings of the cemetery main gates in Victoria road they are in there hundreds must mention they have been individually knitted,l thought some one might have seen them maybe put a photo of them on the board hope so . Ps l would like to thank all the Hebburn cemetery volunteers for there wonderfull everts in looking after the graves etc. Ps enjoyed there
Sunday morning tea and coffee and home made cakes. I would like to add as well as the cemetery looking great my Sunday morning walk through to to park was a delight, the park looked prim and yielded considering the time of year.
