Face to face is almost a thing of the past and more so since Covid.
The 2 family history groups that I belong to have been having Zoom meetings throughout and they are better for me as then all acoustic problems from the meeting rooms is negated.
One great advantage of Zoom meetings is that no one has to do any traveling especially the main speaker and we are able to split the costs between the two groups so £200 becomes £100 to each group.
Business people can now have multiple meetings each day and no travelling costs involved. That could easy boost their earnings big time.
Even back in the late 80ís when I was going to see the QC in Lincolnís Inn. The our staff that we were working with were based at West London.
Document passed between us by post or couriers and then we had phone conferences. Yes a bit limited but doable.
Cox being abroad would in no way hinder his work on his Parliament work. Everything would be done by his staff and sent to him for his input, approval or otherwise.
Thatís the way the world works now !
The old ways are almost gone in some cases for the better. The biggest problem that if face to face you can tell the tossers etc. But by video link I wonder unless you have already taken the measure of them face to face.
I bet a man such as Cox would be easily bored by his MP work and would get it out of the way sharpish. Its all planning your day, Iíve had to do it as I expect a lot of visitors to the Board have done so.
On this, working from abroad is just normal. If the President of the USA can do it working from Airforce One anyone can.
