It was arranged only this morning and I had been going to go on 40 miler mostly flat or a37 miler with some hills.
I changed to the 26 miler as very cold 5 C and I was not sure that I had the right kit on for warmth and avoiding sweating.
The ride was to go from Harrogate over the A1 then North to Boroughbridge for a coffee shop. However coffee shop full with other cyclists so went on to Morrison’s cafe.
I did not want to leave my Demo bike out of sight so I headed back to Harrogate on my own. I added a bit additional miles to get to Ripley to use the Greenway back to the Showground.
Total 32 Miles. I’m surprised that I still had 60% of battery power left on reaching the car which means that I should be able to do maybe up to 60-70 miles but that could be different if there is a power drop off at lower levels.
Again I was warm but not sweaty even after stomping up a few hills. My fitness improving I hope !
I am taking the bike back to the shop tomorrow. I’ll see what the delivery timescale and colour availability is then for a new one.
I have ridden 72 miles in the last 3 days which is far above what I have ever done before in the U.K. Also more than done in the South of France when I was a lot fitter.
If I buy one of these bikes I will be able to ride in or up all the valleys to the North of us and with another set of tyres ride the tracks around Swaledale.
My existing road bike I will try to sell but only at a set price. Otherwise I will use that as a pure training bike around our valleys.
