I had not thought about that a possible reason for that until last Friday when my Granddaughter said she loved her new school.
Because of where she has lived there has been very few children of her age around other than at school.
Her new school has a Hugh social scene. She recognises what she has missed all these years.
I because I lived in Crawley Ave was well away from other areas. Maybe the cutoff for us was the Cemetery, making our end like another village. This started to change as the new council houses were built in the 50ís.
So those of you that lived in the Quay or the Newtown had an advantage being more able to meet others.
