At a rough guess, any records-history raised for School Street might have been compiled by Carrie Robson who was superintendent of the chapel from my earliest memory. Her daughter Audrey may well be the only person alive who can shed any light on this subject. I would love to hear if records do exist but I fear the worst.
Bill Lee managed to save and retain a detailed history of the Primitive Methodist Chapel on High Lane Row and allowed me to place a copy of it on this forum. However, that history and much more seems to have been taken down since Barry Cram retired from the scene. I am still in touch with Barry and spoke to him a few days ago. However, it is not my place to outline why things are the way they are.
Luckily, I retained my own copy of the 150 year PM Chapel history and it makes for some great reading about life in the colliery during the Victorian period.
